Jinks! Jinx! I may finally be getting sick after nearly a year - what did I have to do, lick metro escelator rails? I'm not sure yet but checking my sick-leave-log it's been a year since I was barely sick. I've been jinxing myself for that entire time knowing some superstitious dolt would claim that whenever I finally got sick it was because I just said something about not being sick (or blaming the flu vac!)

In other news, oh god I just got a big-tv ad which reminds me the fucking super watching people I don't know play a game is coming up. I cannot stress how much I don't care about this paid-game, and I know every year other people who don't care about this barely-a-game get roped into the tv-watching-event either to watch comercials or for the social aspects of the crap.

Why isn't watching the nutcracker or an opera the same thing? If I throw a "live PBS opera show" party, I suspect my friends would no-show because they don't want to hear, see, or put up with an opera just for the privilege of eating doritos in my living room. Somehow this is different?
