My monitor thinks it's a vagina
Jul. 20th, 2012 08:52 amNo seriously, someone delayed a memo regarding a pending case because they were confused by the term "Today," and thought their best input would be to hold up the document with a request that I give the date for which "Today" meant. I responded it was a synonym...and because of the delay it was unlikely the document would be able to achieve its purpose as legal fees are easily double the old figure since the document was issued over a week ago. Twit.
It's not just government but I'm utterly not a fan of the middle layers where people are too insecure to approve anything without making a change, "happy to glad," as if someone will notice they don't have a purpose unless they screw things up.
The 1 page required max document is now 4 pages, and requests are to change the "mandatory format" document. The stated purpose is "to make sure it can pass through the chan of command easier, because I'm used to anticipating their needs." This speeding up the document has resulted in over a week of delay.
On the other hand, I get to litigate a difficult case and can't be blamed for loss because I notified the appropriate parties. Twits.
