Oct. 21st, 2011 01:50 pmDisappointingly if not surprisingly my awesome day in the gym turned out to be an unexplained difference in the weights my paper told me to lift - this strong lift day at 330 was supposed to be at 350. Oops. Today I'm letting the paper error carry to try and do more than I am supposed to on bench, 200 instead of 190. I lift all the time and I hear I'm strong, but I can't help but notice most people are a foot taller than me and often strong as well.
Work continues to be demoralizing and I know I shouldn't complain. The research tool our specialists use to do legal research has been cut off due to "budget issues." That's awesome - so they'll have no legal guidance for the actions they take which I'm supposed to litigate when appealed. The icing on the butter is that not only did they not consult with anyone before taking the action of cutting off the ability to do legal research, but they didn't even tell anyone. There are people who still don't know who won't find out until "their password doesn't work." Should I care?
I have tons of vacation time and I work at home a lot. Outside of this office, I'm very well liked.
The See's truffles arrived and I got 2 $30 groupons or wha'evah for Larry's ice cream. Soon I wont' be able to fit in my pants, but I'll have had plenty of coffee, beer, candy, and cake. I will be able to deadlift cake. I may have to deadlift cake.
My stocks flatline but I don't know where to put my money. Bonds? Another house? Do I sit on cash in case my attitude gets me fired or I get downsized in the consolidation expected in January? I think gold is stupid but I thought it was as stupid as tulip bubs at 1300, 1500, and today. I don't know enough to talk about copper.
I brought out my spooky lights but haven't put them up.
I feel like talking but have nothing to say and nobody to say it to. Wow, I'm the internet.
