Maybe I was wrong when I said it was worse than failing. I mean that is how it felt, but today was the 4 week mark since that attempt to bench press 210. I've been tired all day, but walking to the gym woke me up and I was feeling good. My warm ups went well, and my last set of 3 felt strong.

I got a spot. I asked for a lift, but also said I thought I could get it (I neglected to say "don't touch the fucking bar").
However, dood didn't touch the fucking bar.

I got the lift on my own. Twice.
Just like last time, only this time I knew it was really me.

WOW. So this week was 100% not fail. It seems my new program of beer and cake is a real muscle-packer-onner. We may hit fair this weekend, and I'm not all wound up in the trick of the "mallet" gizmo and whether or not I can ring the bell.

I have no idea what the rest of my program will be like, and I've got a full week to worry about it later because now it's the week of easy recovery. And possibly more cake. Mmm cake.

I bought a laptop, a sony vaio. It is fast, but so far the downsides are shit sound and...they decided to rearrange where the keys go. The function keys have no spaces of any kind between then, so your fingers cannot tell one from the other (this is an utter fail for trying to play diablo). They also decided to come up with a new efficient way to place the del/insert/pause etc. buttons...so I can't hit any of them w/o looking. Even if I learned this nifty configuration I'd be lost on a regular keyboard. Still, now I can mule without having to go to the other room.

Lifting weights and video games. I used to talk to people.

Did I mention squatting 305 twice, pressing 135 once, DLing 390 once, and benching 210 twice?
