In a conversation about office supplies, I noted we are getting the plastic wrapped chrome binder clips, and previously I questioned you on this and you said they cost no more than the regular black ones. I was surprised and thanked you for your ingenuity.
However, on the staples website your claims regarding cost appear to be inaccurate. Specifically, for example,

Black small ¾” binder clips sell for $2.99 a 40 pack, or 7.5 ¢ each
Fancy colored chrome small ¾” binder clips sell for $2.49 an 18 pack, or 13.8¢ each.
We just ordered and received several boxes of all kinds of binder clips.
I appreciate that we got the supplies in question, but it appears with the budget cuts and scrutiny that we need to be conservative with our few budget dollars allowed for office supplies. I would recommend, though I am in no position to command, purchasing the lowest cost supplies available when supplies are needed.
