I love the big Russian spy scandal, though the press trying to turn one into a femme fatale is kind of silly. This recent development, that they let an INTERNATIONAL SPY out on bail!? Shocker - they skipped the country! Really!? Who wudda imagined - no flight risk on an INTERNATIONAL SPY, right? Heard a funny analysis of the existence of them on NPR...describing how bureaucracies tend to self perpetuate beyond their reason for existence. Sure the cold war is mostly over, but when you have a justified program in place it's likely to continue just on momentum. Who wants to be the politician who declared the US was no longer a threat? I'm not worried about their spies so much as their computer hackers and porn mafia. Oh, and the wife sales.
