2nd night in a row I woke up in the middle of the night for no reason, only able to go to sleep again about the time it is time to get up. Not really worth posting about, huh?

I'm boring. Now that work is less crazy, I was able to run through the condo-budget (I'm president of the board - yes I take this community crap I preach seriously) and do a really good condo-board meeting last night. Odd - when did I start taking pride in more worky stuff than my amazing ability to shave my taint or wear make-up and androggy fetish gear in public?

SICK OF NEWS ABOUT HEALTH CARE. I care, sure, but my views are not supported by either side (I'm approving of 2 possibilities, full socialized medicine, or eliminating the obligation to treat broke people - though that is so unfair and unrealistic based on the % of income that would need to be dedicated to insurance or treatment that it just leaves me back on the social camp) but this yelling that the fight isn't over, ick, and the republicans continue to block anything with that N...I mean Obama's name on it for the sheer reason that he's a mus... I mean he's Obama, is making me ill. Didn't BushCo's tax cuts go through on reconciliation? The republican hate mongering has fully converted me away from my independent leanings to identify as full democrat. I'm not an emotionally reactive sheep who agrees with all the party stances, but I cannot help but recognize that one party is rabidly anti-gay, and while they preach fiscal conservatism it only translates into government (taxpayer) subsidies of business. You cannot be republican and not recognize you support rabid anti-gay legislation, especially not when there are fiscally conservative democrats.
And fuck those socially conservative democrats - get off my damn lawn.

I don't care what "side" you're on, if you just bleat out "go team" in politics you're part of the problem. I can't tell Michael Moore from Rush Limbaugh, though there is a qualitative difference between fox and msnbc

Here, behind this cut, are all my twitter links from yesterday: < Error, no such link. >

Today I'm going to an anti-Cuccinelli rally at GMU where he is speaking at my law-alma fuckers. I got a fund-raising letter from them - ignored more than usual due to the public support of this hate-spewing jackass, but I did notice that the avg gpa was up to 3.76 with LSAT of 163 or so. I don't qualify to get into my old school anymore? Anyway, I'll be there in a suit looking po-fessional to protest his letter requesting that all state universities repeal their anti-discrimination clauses that affect sexual orientation or gender identity. Both the Govenor and the AG are pointing fingers at each other and the air as though they are just reacting to the world around them rather than pushing the Oral Roberts University orientation of this administration...the last 2 repub Gov's did not feel the need to issue anti-discrimination edicts which cut out sexual orientation, but these guys rose above! God bless you all the way to hell you sweet ... sigh.

Work drama is neat right now - a couple of my coworkers are fucking up in very public ways while I'm the hero of the hour. Some of the fuckups see me as an ass-sucking suckup, though I'm not sure how they qualify the long hours I put in. An act or a scam? Do they consider meeting deadlines, not attacking my coworkers behind their backs, or working long days to be sucking up? I mean shit - outdo me, please! Work! Stop making mistakes that give me more work as a consequence, or if you do underperform or negatively impact the rest of us don't then get mad at us for...working!

I'm proud. Ok, I'm also a little embarrassed.

Last night I served the community and did my condo assoc thing. Not exactly fame, fortune, and babe magnet power - but damnit I put in some effort on making sure my corner of the world works right.

Tonight I left work early (napped because I didn't sleep for shit last night) threw on a suit, and went to GMU Law to join our multi-group protest of Cuccinelli who was speaking at GMU (he has issued a letter to state universities telling them to rescind their anti-discrimination policies based on sexual orientation). A group of about 50 people showed up, we had a podium, and 4-5 local politicians took the mike along with school folks (and myself) to speak to the crowd. The media covered the event with several news crews.

Not earth shattering, and now I really wish I had put in more effort like some of our other members did - but I'm still really proud to be a part of it, proud we made this idiocy so public, and proud to have tried to be a part of the political process beyond just reading and voting.

Oddly I'm exhausted now.

Can't wait to see if we get any clips on the local stations - I suspect we'll show up.

And my girlfriend looks fucking hot.
