Today was supposed to be the start of the biggest hearing of my life, but instead we sat down with everyone on hold to engage in settlement discussions. Nothing is signed but progress is going well. I have forecast but not promised that a signed document will be produced tomorrow.
I'm excited because that, and a likely series of meetings with people-more-important-than-me to debrief everyone, I will get to go back to my life. And by life I mean more naps, less pants.
But nothing is assured. My litigation packages, outlines, and the shit is all ready to go in case of idiocy (on either side).
I look forward to a day when I can talk about the details of this, though I fully realize nobody will give a rat's caboose about this issue.
I do have to say as a side-note it's fun to be in a cussing-in-front-of-SESers status though. I don't need money or power, just the rank to say "Fuck?!" with execs.
