I don't hate politics - I hate that people yell at each other, call names, and refuse to review data when discussing politics. It seems in politics people turn off their brains. These same people read, hold jobs, keep open minds about multiple characters on Hero, BSG, or House, do their own taxes, and plan their retirement. Somehow that all goes out the window as they base their vote on the slant of someone's jaw line and how that makes their tummy feel, and then grip onto any pre-printed "argument" without verifying it's source, accuracy, or even internally consistent logic (that alone wipes out most wack-jobs).

I love the way McCain has treated Obama with respect, and vice versa. Until yesterday I was proud that in Arlington, there were tons of Obama signs next to McCain signs. That changed yesterday when all the Obama signs were torn down and McCain signs filled Washington Blvd (but don't blame the candidate for the few wackos that do campaign work).

I heard one quote from McCain on the TV this AM - that he and Obama don't disagree on spending or other issues with the economy (I disagree, but...) That the key difference was that McCain is for lower taxes and Obama is for higher taxes.

Ok. I'M ALL FOR HIGHER TAXES. Yeah, that's right, in my bracket I'm all about the higher taxes. Why? Because my country is spending money. So everything the US buys today is being done with borrowed money and accumulating interest. So we might as well either stop spending so much or pay the damn bills when they come due. I do it at home, and my taxes should be just as responsible. I. Hate. Debt.

Speaking of: Chrysler asks for 10 gazillion dollars because it turns out building SUVs while the "Japanese companies" built economy cars was a bad idea. Answer = no. Taxpayers should not be paying for private companies - we already voted with our dollars.

Posty McPost: Marriage notes.
Friend/acquaintance just got married, saw the pics and she's hot (he's ok, very socially awkward). Revealed last night his new wife is pregnant - I am sure of the order of events in the reverse in which I learned of them. They don't speak the same language - she's eastern block. Good luck with that.

My Minneapolis trip in which the Jehovah witness was a great dancer, partied all night, and left the hotel at 2am to go catch that hottie he was dancing with in the club? Married (somehow he never mentions her).

Mawiage...

fuckfuckfuckfuck 11.5 hours in the office and I come home to have the tv computer not start. Disk error, disk error, cursor, disk error...fuckyou HP. Out of warranty, no extended, and it appears that while it was choppy throughout it's short life that it needs a new HD. Since it was $550 to start with, and it has always sucked and only has vga out and no dedicated video memory, fuckit.

Gave up on thingy, nuked nachos (after skipping today's workout after working 11.5 hours), and hooked up regular cable tv. Cable sends out steady message of "Exlporer not authorized. Call 703-fuckyou." Nachos eaten in silence.

I was actually in the office 12.5 hours, getting up at 4:30 AM and doing a long lunch to run to the huge fancy but cheap liquor store and get Tommy Bahama White Sand (thank you spellbound rum tasting night), Purus organic vodka (probably not worth the huge price tag but in a really pretty bottle / less ghetto than grey fucking goose), Froggy B Vodka (cheaper, french, well reviewed), Cafe Granita Coffee liquor (still trying to see if anything compares to Kahlua), and lime juice. Was not intending to have any tonight, but the tv is dead and I'm in no mood to fix it minutes before beddy-bye time. Fuckityfuckfuckfuck.
