I don't believe it - switching to a simpler view somehow involves more complex coding, because now every time I load my LJ it hangs up for several seconds?! Sigh. It also locks you out of switching to other tabs while it loads. No, google chrome doesn't help. Grr.

I haven't made plans for this weekend. I might get drunk, might get drunk twice, might not. I'm kinda weirding out about this whole going to Chile thing. I'm a mild control freak, and being in someone else's care and control for a period of time ... ick. I sort of want to see everyone before I go, but I also want to hide in the corner. I did buy some tools from Home Despot during my lunch hour.

It turns out getting tapeworms isn't a great weight loss program after all. I am dying to suck down candy and cake more than I want to drink. I mostly want to drink so I will sleep overnight in the damn plane Sunday - Monday. I think the sweets craving is this idiotic weight loss thing I'm doing.

Tonight is wasteland, planning to go but may not. Skirts. They are also showing Hancock at the drunkhouse tonight. Sat is spellbound with even more rum. Might go there. I dunno. Mrumph.

Great article noting McCain's involvement in the current crisis going back to the Keating 5 and 1987.

I'm always in favor of less regulation, McCain told the Wall Street Journal in March.

On the bright side, this does show that R. Reagan was a genious! His trickle-down economics did work, only not for profits.
