Wow. Whoever told you Iron man didn't suck was a rabid liar. I watch cartoons. I watch fighting. I like crap - hell I regularly attend psychotronic just to watch crap. But Iron Man was just awful, not even the fun kind. *blech*

Hooray for losing! Just before I headed out last night, I did a check of my email. I found that we were issued the final massive arbitration loss for the family of cases I was stuck with at work - yup, as I had predicted, we lost - and bad. Spanked even. This...is very good news for me. The new MEAN mgr came in, criticized how we handled the cases and blamed us for losing. So we were ordered to, and did, follow her directions...and lost again. This time she actually went out there, guided every fucking little step, complimented the way we executed her instructions (in public)...and we lost in pretty much exactly the same way. She is now articulating points that we raised IN WRITING months ago. My job that was just getting a tad easier may have just gotten harder again, doing a metric ton of damage control / clean-up, but it is nice to be validated. I am now someone who can be verified as "I told you so."

This is why work is better than the internet - there is someone ruling on who won the argument, and no matter how many 'tards agree with the twat I have a higher authority who voices that I won. Unlike the internet, she can't just keep voicing her baseless opinion nor garner support from other uniformed twats.

Today I have essentially made work to do at home, though when I am in the office with nothing to do I feel no such obligation.

Last night I joked about being the third wheel to Colin and Nadra, a pretty girl with her handsome man. Then another couple showed up and joined us, another pretty girl (with awesome geeky skirt) and her handsome man. So I went from third wheel to that tire that hangs on the back of a jeep.

Epson Stylus CX6400. I just bought it off craigslist for a whopping $5, but it doesn't work. I just put in 4 new ink cartridges, still doesn't work. It thinks it works, but prints blank pages. If you can fix stuff that thinks it works, but doesn't, this is all yours. I'm sure it scans just fine. Fucker.
