(no subject)

So I was in murky coffee the other day when a regular came in. This regular is a homeless man and the reason I no longer sit on the cloth couch - he's not a super stinky homeless guy, but he is a bum none the less. He often comes in early in the AM and sits in the couch, falling asleep and sometimes snoring loudly. The staff don't seem to mind.

I do mind. I don't mind the bum so much, but I do mind what he does. He brings in his radio and plays it on a classic rock station, loud (for a battery powered portable radio). Maybe not loud - it's at about the same volume as a conversation. For instance, last time this happened I was about in the middle of the place, and heard his radio slightly less loud than the music the coffee place employees are playing. I like the music the coffee people play, and I like classic rock. However, I find it very annoying to hear the two things at once. I also think it's horribly rude to go out in a public place and play a radio.

My meaty self thought about asking him to turn it down, but no one else seemed to be reacting to the noise and I tend to be a bit chip-shouldery and wasn't sure I was supposed to do anything. So, I turn to you oh random group of LJ readers - with a poll. Was I a wuss for not addressing the situation? Am I an asshole for wanting to address it at all?
