I saw Canadian mooses on the way home today! They're so cute, and they're all along the Potomac now. So many mooses along the water. Also so many moose poops though. Candadian mooses making poopses. Mooses poopses!

I'm a little tired. The meeting went better than expected today, as the director had taken the time to read my memo. Her criticism of me was making it sound like our branch vs. ER, but it's difficult not to when ER made so many mistakes, and ignored our advice to fix them. In any case, I didn't have to speak much at all, nor did I use half the ammo I had ready to go. It looked like a bad day at first, as my 6 page memo was met with a 7 page reply emailed to us as we were riding the shuttle to HQ. Luckily I was thorough, and they were not, as all their points were already rebuffed by my original arguments. In the meeting I made short work of the arguments presented, but the Director herself tackled most of them by echoing points in my work. The ER chief was only reading what someone else prepared for her, and after I answered her first challenge it was clear she didn't know the case or understand the law as well as I did. She was unable to respond, as she only had others prepare her work and didn't really review it. I won hands down, but am tired and still frustrated that we had to "battle" at all. Just listen to me the first time and nobody gets hurt.

Now I'm supposed to write a motion in limine for the fake trial. Ungh.
