Boring stuff

First the important stuff - my mom sent me a link to a youtube clip of "MST3K preserves Morrisey!" Did I mention that I cried?

2nd - I got an A, did I mention? That thing I wasn't sure I got higher than a C? GPA currently 3.30, I believe that for at least this moment, I'm in the top 25% of the class. Did I mention that I got an A?

I'm taking my commercial paper class - more applicability and if I ever go in-house corporate counsel it looks useful. I think I like the comm paper prof.

The ethics officer is rumored to have been discovered as a fraud, and is similarly rumored to be moving on. If I have a brain cell in me I'll take that job when it's available. It's an easy barely supervisory 14, with almost no travel. The HS educated fraud who's been doing it does nothing and is never here, while the word is her two employees do all the work. From what I've seen, that is no rumor.

The Branch Chief job for ER is opening up. We are busting the hell out of the work from that place, cutting outrageous penalties, finding numerous flaws, exposing horrifically bad writing, noting major gaps of logic, and generally holding them to the fire. I would be the absolutely perfect candidate for that job, and I have no interest. The supervisory demands are large, and the staff is generally inept and dysfunctional. I could really help the Agency by doing it, but after all the dicking I've received - I just can't justify giving them a positive return.

I like this job, but honestly I should take the ethics job for less work with more money. Problem is I like what I do, and that job is mind-numbingly stupid. Did I mention that I got an A?
