Techie question - probably will delete this later:
If I reload windows from the original (4 years old?) cd, will it trash my entire hd? Just programs? Will zonealarm, norton, spybot, and adaware go kablowie? MSOffice? Or is it just going to reload the op system and update, integrating everything w/o making a mess?

It takes my laptop about 10 minutes to boot down and up again, which is insane. It's old, but even a 2.0 ghz celeron with 256 mb should not take that damn long. No other problems noticed other than some bad sectors in the HD (it says it recovered). Huh.
