Jul. 12th, 2006 07:20 amI touched a piece of the wall, feeling its texture. There was more complexity in this piece of structure than previous glances revealed. Staring closely, fingers tracing form, there is an entire world. Some yield, mostly firm. Ridges, valleys, smooth and rough edges.
I feel. My impressions seem so important right now. Some will escape memory within minutes, lacking detail now. I cannot predict which will be retained. My life and self will be different in another 5 years. I'm just one person. If you eliminate all people in this country the world quickly fills the gap. I hardly exist. I can easily expand my view to see this planet as finite and unlikely to spawn life beyond its own. This sun extinguishes itself, soon depending on your timeframe. I can imagine millions of years, but hardly remember ten years ago.
A world within a world, each small in one view, unfathomable in another. Yet I take the time to write down my unformed impressions in an electronic media fueled by fossil fuels to share my impressions with others. My fleeting thoughts become other's fleeting impressions, and their's mine.
Small. Large. This post could have been written by Grover.
