Apr. 3rd, 2006 02:03 pmToday sucks, I'm sitting here smelling my own sweat, so I'm going to reflect upon the weekend.
Fri we snuck out to Il Radichio, got yummified. It didn't take too long, we both got any detox we needed, and I still got back and plowed through a lot of homework. Sat was gorgeous, we got up and arrived at the cherry blossoms before dawn on Sat. The fwowers waf pwetty, and we saw the red sun rise over the horizon. We walked around from the new plantings, to the old mutated trees that morphed into Akira. We saw many cute old couples and groups with picnic breakfasts. Right after we ran out of tumor-ridden hunched over old trees, we simultaneously got sick of bumping into people including every amateur photographer wannabe using a tripod in the throngs of flower wanderers.
The rest of the day was spent gymifying and studying, finishing up most of it by evening. With some time to spare, we wandered out for small-brand ice-cream, and then a couple beers at Galaxy Hut. They were playing really cool music in galaxy hut, and there was something about thongs.
Sunday was filled with running, more studying, a study session at school, chores galore, and making cookies. Mmm.
Today I was an overpaid secretary again, but I registered for summer school while one of my stocks bumped 5% for no reason. Nifty.
I sound like that kid in the for-art commercial who is completely boring when he relates his experiences. Saw a great article that noted since the gov has shifted to standardized testing schools are cutting all classes that are not on the exam. Everyone is learning math and reading, but throwing art, history, and even gym out the window. Every performance measure has problems when taken to extremes. I'm too lazy to look up the link.
