There is a chance I may go off-line for a bit. That stupid worm that goes off this friday, or some other virus, has infected my school laptop. I can't download updates for NAV, and even trying to reinstall didn't work. My home cpu has NAV updated past 1/23 (the date of this worm I hear) so it should be ok, but I swap files with my laptop a lot. Well, I just tried to scan my usb flash drive at work, and it hesitated on my class notes from last night...then exited the scan. It just disappeared. NAV is still up and running, but it never said it completed the disk scan. I might lose connectivity at school, work, and home, all at the same time. This could really suck. Extra backup time.

Discovered the problem when the laptop stopped admitting it had a network connection. Then I noticed I wasn't actually getting updates when I tried to update Norton, adaware, spybot, and zonealarm. They are only current as of 1/18/06.

This is the first problem like this I've ever had. My NAV and free downloads have kept me clean up until now.
