Nov. 4th, 2005 09:55 amIn response to idiocy like the anti-evolution forces in the US of A, the Catholic church breaks with tradition and says something rational! A Vatican cardinal said Thursday the faithful should listen to what secular modern science has to offer, warning that religion risks turning into "fundamentalism" if it ignores scientific reason. He also notes that scientists shouldn't ignore religion - mutual respect :)

So they respect science...now if they would only extrapolate from that position and apply it to their social policies we might get along. They do wonderful things with humanitarian aid these days, and I'm tired of eliminating hunger-fighting charities for their ties to the church.
