For all that is going on in my life, only two things really interest me right now.
1) I got a spiffy new dining room light from Ikea. Unfortunately, one of the glass cones on it broke upon assembly, so I need to haul another 30 miles to Ikea. Again. Still, it's the perfect light for the space. It's brushed chrome so it pulls in the brushed chrome track lights from the kitchen and the hallway brushed chrome trim. It also has adjustable snakey arms, so it matches the rainbowy medussa lamps from the living room. I'm dying to wire it to the ceiling. Dying.
When chrome is out I'm going to call my style "retro" or "campy"
2) the way when I put my hand into her hair and slowly made a fist against her head, pushing her face down slightly, every muscle in her body stiffened and she let out a little gasp.
