Sweet hiking yesterday, mood much improved. I didn't know going up a rocky incline could leave me winded - figured it would be easier than jamming on a stairmaster. Lesson relearned - you can do whatever you're used to doing well, but don't expect transfer to other activities. Overdid the seafood, hell I'm still full today. Not sure why people eat in chain restaurants when for a couple of dollars more you can get far better grub in a real restaurant.
I'm not sure I believe the 6-pack comment, but my abs are better than a couple weeks ago. After seeing my gut sticking out in a picture, I quietly decided to moderate my calories and return to the cardio workouts. I can now fit in my 29" shorts again, though they remain slightly snug. The body fat thing is still finding me at 15 or so. That's on the "moderately active" setting, vs. the 9% I get on the "works out every day freak" setting. I'm probably in between, if the thing is accurate at all.
Today for the office I dressed in some new clothes I picked up in Potato Mills. I'm gross - I'm wearing them off the rack w/o washing them. I look pretty snazzy though, like I have a job. I'm happy with some of my shopping finds: turns out decent brands are making wash n' wear "slacks." I picked up two pairs from Kenneth Cole for like $25 each, and another brand that escapes my brain. I also bought a backpack monagrammed with someone else's initials...it's really getting strange seeing the places I decide to spend and save. There is little continuity until you look at when I last bought those items and what my income was like at the time.
I really don't like "looking good" in work drag. I want people to find me hot the less I wear.
I'm quitting or greatly moderating my use of caffeine. It doesn't work very well but most people don't notice. From tired, to jittery and tired. I think a lot of the time if you just wait as long as it takes to drink coffee that you find you're just as awake after that period of time w/o the drugs.
I have nothing to say but I've posted anyway - but at least it's not a quiz.
