Jun. 21st, 2004 07:55 amWalked to work this AM with the hot chick next door. Should I mind that she remembers my name, and while I know she works out every day doing primarily cardio, drives a silver mercedes, redid her kitchen with her dad's help, was uber-hot before she got a boob job, has had all sorts of trouble passing the CPA exam, switched jobs recently, and has problems with shin splints...that I don't recall her name ever? She was whining about how her guy spent the weekend on the couch, and by Sunday she just gave up and went out and did something.
Before the tit-slash, I would have jumped at a chance to be with her. One thing I've learned - while I may be driven and not want to waste days at a time, I don't want to date an uber-motivated career driven materialistic competitive person EVER. To me hard work...well I think I was born lazy so I'm still not sure how much of the gym, school, and work-work I do is just because I like to do it, and how much is goal oriented. I just know that my ultimate ethic is slacker, and I don't think I can date outside the slacker ethic.
(I'm not saying I'd want to spend an entire weekend on the couch like her current loser, but in many other conversations we've had I've come to realize she is extremely driven and competitive, which is a real turn-off. Not only do those types typically want to keep up with the Jones', but they will compete with their lover as well - fuck that.)
I can't stop playing my 'new-to-me' Felix CD. Electroclash is a small jump from disco.
