Feb. 5th, 2004 07:39 amThe Washington Post is about to deny access to their site unless you give them name, addy, and email - requiring a Username and password. Fuck the Washington Post. Their pop-ups were annoying but I blocked them, their registratoin with zip code and age was annoying, but I signed on with a cookie that said I was 104 years old from Zimbabwe.
On a similar note, despite the cool ruling in Mass yesterday by the court, the legislature is bucking to pass a constitutional ammendment to circumvent reality. Didn't they pull this same crap with inter-racial marriage? The same arguments are being used in the gay marriage issue - rightly so. Don't like gay marriage? Don't marry a gay! It's that easy!
Anyway, the Dem candidates, rather than committing electoral suicide, are supporting civil unions ("here you go gays") while opposing gay marriage ("here you go zealots"). Does anyone know a simple web site / article that spells out each of the candidates on this issue?
Of course Bush is being an absolute peach on the issue - ban everything from a constitutional ammendment. So much love and tolerance in this country.
