Jan. 21st, 2004 07:45 amI would like to thank the president for making sure while we are at his war that the country remembers to focus on how much we hate gays and don't want to let them do what they wanna do. It is truly year 4 of the monkey.
I am using the term "gestaltian" to describe the lack of democratic charisma. Dean goes crazy? I don't buy any of the enthusiastic speeches from the demo side. I'm afraid I'm getting more centrist, but more issue oriented as well. I hate Bush, but none of the candidates seem to have any credibility. Hell, none has a personality - but is that important? I find this year I miss Gore who simply was a bore, for the current lot is nothing but a bunch of special-interest sucking bores themselves - only they have obviously practiced for hours to try and pretend to be go-getting yelling excited folk. I aint buyin it.
On a more important note, I'm still haunted by the fact that you can get a Godiva chocolate cheesecake at the Cheesecake factory for $25 (If I saw that right, the average full cake price is $55. If that price was correct, I'll be buying one and throwing a cheesecake party in the day at some point. I'm thinking that might be an intro price to a new cake, or I might have mis-read/misunderstood.
I did - I went to the cheesecake factory. I may not know class, but I know ghetto when I see it. The place is so chock full of 'fancy' decor that it reeks of a casino environment. It's classy like people buying items in Pentagon City Mall with wads of $100s and gold teeth is classy.
