(no subject)

TV/VCR. Damnit that's aggravating. My vcr had this weird thing where I would try to play a tape and the tv screen would go black. The only way to get the screen to return to normal was to unplug it for a minute then turn it back on. I returned the VCR, they replaced it.

I hooked up the vcr, taped something, started to play it back - zoink. No picture.

The last vcr had no such problem interacting with my tv. The tv works fine w/o the vcr. I wanna watch vhs tapes - not dvds. Crap. I have no idea what to do.

However you feel about the war and/or our leaders,
to me it is a lot different to hear the 21 gun salute going off in the background at Iwo Jima than to see the daily '12 dead, 1 dead, 3 dead' in the headlines. I've seen the ceremony, and I know that friends and family are standing out there is the dew speckled grass thinking about someone they knew who died far away.

Now I'm off to vote.
