S H O P P I N G ! ! !
Mar. 16th, 2003 04:11 pm< FagVoice > Ohmigod! I had SUCH luck shopping today!!! I hit Potomac Mills for like…4 hours my god…and found NOTHING to buy. I am just not interested in poorly-made kakis or cotton pull-overs! I started to buy things just to justify the trip, chrome pump dispersers ($5 whee!), a pillow, chocolate truffles (ok that was me just being a big fat me)…then I hit JCPenny.
Yes, JCPenny the fashion fucking mecca. YES they suck, YES you’d be a redneck in court before you’d ever be caught in one of their suits…but the clearance center is random and fun sometimes. This was one of those times.
First I saw her, gazing at me with her many tentacle eyes from across the room…the medussa gay-pride light!
$39. Can I be gay and cheap at the same time? Sorry, I am civil service so each taxpayer dollar counts!
Next I checked out the $10 special on lava lamps…would you believe this was the fashion assault de jour?
Whee! I am gay tacky extreme! I am able to embarrass hairdressers! Whee!
I bought 2 medussa lamps, and 3 lava lamps. One is for me to take to work, because I think the office just needs to know that I’m a fucking flamboyant fruit. The other two are tentative gifts: 1 for Heather and one for Jill if either/both is interested. Anyone else, I highly recommend making a 30 minute roadtrip out of DC to the Mills to get your own.
