My god LJ sucks
Sep. 30th, 2002 04:21 pmSo below is the post I've now tried 3 times to put in this damn journal. I've been on-line since BBS days, but this page blows. Every click takes minutes to access and load from this fractured T-1, and I've now repeatedly failed to get this idiotic first entry up. Hoofuckingray for LJ.
I hate LJ. I hate the fact that the trash on DCFreaks is split between ignorant right-wingers, ignorant left-wingers (though they don't bother me that much), and total ghetto/trailer-trash aka uneducated morons from Hot Topic (tm). I hate the fact that while my phone doesn't ring and my friends all seem constantly busy, I'm supposed to go to this wannabe nacarcistic gated on-line community and look up their random thoughts from each and every day. I'd prefer the excuse to sit around in restaurants actually talking - call me crazy. I'm too busy and so are they, so here I am.
Here I am FAILING to post this drivel. I frustrate easily.
So I'm starting a LJ. I don't like LJ! I already miss posting on DCFreaks and thinking that maybe, just maybe, someone might gain something from my rantings - knowledge or entertainment.
I've held off on writing anything because I thought a first entry should consist of something worth writing about - but after a week of nothing I've given up on that.
There isn't much anyone but me gives a flying explicative about in my life at the moment:
1) LSAT - I take the law school exam this Saturday, with the benefit of many hours of study, but without the benefit of a prep course. One way or another my lack of head-stuff shows.
2) House - I just bought a 2nd condo - which I will either sell quickly or move into. Long term vs. short term wad-o-cash debate ensues, as does 'so what does this mean?'
3) Job - I'm leaving my detail of 4 weeks to go to the Agriculture Department (USDA) as a Human Resources Specialist, focussing on Employee Relations. That means I'm the guy who approves axe letters and responses to greivances, or so I think.
So, I'm boring as hell right now
