GMU

The formal application arrived in the mail today - it wasn't a prank call! I have until April to commit, and then it's only to the tune of $250. Columbia doesn't send out offers until mid-to late April. I'm thinking more and more of doing GMU - which means I wasted hundreds of dollars trying for other schools.

Technically I never decided to go to law school. I decided to take the LSAT. I decided to see what schools I could get into. That's all.

Law School: pick up a copy of Scott Turow's non-fiction book "One-L" and read it - if after that you still want to go to law school then it was meant to be. :)

Note: even though it's a bit old the lawyers I know who have read it days it is dead on in its description of what life is like for the first year law student. And despite the passage of time, all the damn classes and cases are exactly the same.

I should look that up then. I was thinking about buying my books now and reading them over this semester and the summer, rather than being super slammed during that first year.

Don't forget that I'll be more slacker than lawyer. I'm only willing to work hard with the goal of not having to work hard.
