From the office on 1/2

There are some colors you simply wouldn't even consider eating unless it was a jelly belly. Somehow the Harry Potteresque flavors are acceptable to eat, and although normally bright yellow over fluorescent green means radioactive or it's time to clean the toilet, in the form of a quarter-inch jelly bean this means food. Is there really any need for a jelly bean that tastes like butter?

Bleary eyed at 4pm, I opted out of alchemy in advance, though I was tempted to hit NYE, alchemy, Dollhouse, and Chairoschoolo all in a row. Around 10pm I was sitting in front of the queer eye marathon, drinking port from a wine glass. My wine glasses are often mistaken for black, but if you get the chance to see light behind them you realize they're a really fucking dark purple. I saw the beginning of the episode of QE that made me really hate it, and found that seeing it from the beginning left a very different impression about the NY boy. Remember my rant about how QE just fixed up pigs in suits for a day, and it was all just a lie? Well it seems over xmas they did a special where they showed up unannounced and found that they had pretty much stuck with the advice they were given. Ask me, do I get tired of being wrong with my judgments? Not really - I do hit the mark here and there, and if no one else does I find the rants entertaining.

A couple of bisexuals hunting brunch came up with the following pointless annoying terms to further confuse the issue of the land in-between: Gaight and Stray. That's right, we're admitting that most of the bis we know are hardly what you would call sexually ambidextrous. I'm a stray. I like being a stray - gaight sounds like how you pace your equine, while stray sounds like something you cuddle while they look around confused.

You can't even tell someone's sexuality by their dating history, but come on...it's a pretty good clue!? Yes yes yes, I know, all that should matter is if you walk up to Joe and/or June Schmoe is whether they want to fuck, or experience you in spiritual connection, the person that is the true beautiful inner you. It seems silly to ignore that they have a history that is 100% male on male fucking and only pierced tattooed musicians at that. A long-haired cross-dresser who leaves his cock conspicuously not concealed probably won't have success with the A&F girl, no matter how you think in a perfect world we should all just love one another for what's inside.

Perhaps you can't judge a book by it's cover, but typically a book's cover reflects the contents. If you can't interpret the cover, or don't trust the marketing message presented, you can seek out expert testimonials. You can check out the pictures, and perhaps scan the chapter headings. There may be a foreward, and a general description of the story on the inside cover. Sure I'm dragging out the analogy, but don't you see someone and say yay or nay? Doesn't that look sometimes merit small talk, like opening the cover? Do the first words out of their mouth intrigue or end your interest right there?

I'm wearing a black mock with olive wide-pleat courdory covering the tops of my black boots, the hair pushed forward and gelled messy. The belt is a simple 80s silver buckle, and there is usually at least a half a smile on my face. The first words out of my mouth will probably be pointless banter or a bitchy criticism (working on that issue). I've dated everything from the pink-sweatered Potomac girl to the homeless mohawked black guy.

on judging a book by its cover...

I typically don’t judge a person by their looks when it comes to friendship. But I do know that folks will either get better looking or worse looking when they open their mouths. I have been pleasantly surprised by those that I wouldn’t have “picked out of the crowd” as being VERY attractive. They speak, and they are intelligent and amusing. Now, granted this doesn’t happen with everyone, but I like when that happens. I have also had the opposite happen as well. Gorgeous person, they speak, and yuk. It immediately affects how I will proceed with them.

I have a friend whom I met after having seen her in the clubs, liking the way she danced and finding her generally attractive. I had friends who knew her, and heard she was way cool and pretty damn bright. I saw her at a party, and approached her. First words out of my mouth "Do your ears stick out or is it just because your hair is tucked behind them?"

I'm lucky she didn't deck me or judge me solely by that first impression. Then again, she might hate or pity me and just be to polite to say so.

You sound absolutely delicious today. :)

Oh, I am most definitely Bi - can't imagine being define as Gaight or Stray. Perhaps you'd have one or the other to label me, though? We are most challenged at figuring out our own labels, I suppose. :P

Nappy hoo year to you!

Well I tend to be biast in terms of experience. People that sleep mostly with the opposite gender are mostly straight. Once in a while you get someone that was gay and just never found the culture or experience to wake that up - but once they 'went gay' it was so obvious that they never turned back. I think a lot of bis live as straight just because it's so much easier than fighting upstream - especially with the gay anger towards bis.

There used to be a joke that girls would sleep with me to find out if they were gay. Now it's less joke and more just...well it makes sense. Less sense today though, as I'm "experimenting with masculinity."

You don't find many people that start gay and turn straight though.

Your history is pretty straight, but you've only discovered the world over the past few years. You might be bi, but do you seem to prefer more of people from one gender than the other?

Well... I definitely cannot go without manpart. Maybe that makes me more straight than gay, yes. I do love women ever so much all the same. :)

I adore the buttered popcorn Jelly Bellys...

In my personal experience, all the bi men I have known have turned out to be gay and (almost) all the bi women I have known have turned out to be straight. I think this has more to say about people I know than it does about the general population, but who knows?

"Stray" however, sounds like you're wandering about and wouldn't apply if you were actually in a relationship.
