I think the deal with linux and bsd is that you just can't have those systems running your infrastucture without a full-time unix geek department, whereas windows can be a "you buy 100 of these PCs and we'll set em all up for you in a week and then dissapear" kind of deal. I figure they both hit the bottom line equally over time.
