In the abortion debate, I can almost see it...still not agree with it, but they view abortion as murder so it at least lends some moral weight to their stance. But when they threaten to cut off charity functions and abandon the poor and hungry who depend on them, over gay marriage? Ignoring the literally hundreds of biblical passages instructing them to aid the poor if the local government merely awknowledges a legally binding contract of love between two same sex people?
