one de-icing compound is essentially a mix of warm water and sugar... i think the other has something that contains a substance similar to rubbing alcohol, but I'm not so sure. it can't be THAT bad for the environment...

I was stuck in OH on a review when the bank wanted to close because of the snow... it was rather awkward, as one of us was from CA, the other FL, and me from DC, we made it there just fine.
