I think I get my hamstrings more from the stiffy-deadlifts, but I have noticed major life differneces with the deadlifts and my back. For instance, when I shopped for 2-4 hours in Potato-Mills, I'd wind up sore in my back and having to sit down and crack it - since really deadlifting that has mostly gone away. I can definitely tell my balance is stronger - I had no idea how weak it was until I made it less so.
