The legal consequences of pretending to be someone else (using an ID with someone else's name) are far greater than for using an altered ID that has your actual name on it.

I believe the person supplying such can be prosecuted as well. As much as i think the driniking age should be 12, the law has gotten unreasonably harsh in this area and you might want to scan the consequences of your role before potentially incurring that type of legal liability.
