Well I'm a huge hypocrite. After my articulate speech about how I don't "need" anything, I happened upon a decent deal on craigslist, and for $500 bought a 32" lcd samsung tv and a 5 dvd player/rec/amp surround sound system.

However I think I'm going to resell the dvd player / surround sound system as my stereo is so much better, and the 5 dvd player doesn't shuffle play audio cds. Hell, shuffle play would be a fun idea for dvds too...

So if anyone is interested, I'll be selling:
Dennon AVR-800 receiver ($30 friends only)
Magnavox 32" tube tv (warning, it weighs a ton)
and the 5 dvd player/surround sound system

This guy has a series of utube vids in which he uses wii remotes for unexpected applications; in this case, he makes a simple mod that could make fps godly fun.

Yeah I was about to say meh on the corner unit, but you're right about the wood porn last night. It's not my fetish, but I totally pitched a tent over that one. I'm all about convertable things and options.
