First of all, I'm not sure exactly why "complaining" is such a bad thing. Sometimes you have to get something off your chest. The idea that one can "take responsibility" for everything in one's life is not only bullshit, it's a path to madness. There is FAR more in one's like over which one had NO control than over which one had any. Sometimes complaining is the only way to work through the emotions, since there is no positive action to be taken.

Second, do you have my number? If you need to talk (or complain) about your dad situation, well, it's something I've been through. I can't claim to have anything useful to say, but I can at least confirm that you aren't nuts for feeling what you are feeling, and that's sometimes helpful.

And yes, nurses should be paid more than doctors, as far as I'm concerned.
