As for the parade - c'mon - real voice of the people (tm) here in DC? (ok, there in DC.) Of course not...this is all a media opp and a chance for us to recenter the message the way we want to. That said...if people really wanted to stage a protest, then they would set it up in Arlington County (fairly liberal) or Takoma Park, MD. If a big festival or protest was arranged, the media would come.
