It was once said that more of my memories were from television than from interaction. I'm not sure I disagree with that assessment.

That sound, the one of a heavy rock falling into mud. I'm certain I know it when I smell the water, but you don't see and I can tell you're weak despite the fact that I can't stand. We can take them all here as we know the words, better the feeling and it's more powerful than most know. That illusion which isn't sprawled with a level of expertise. We laugh at the misconception but without understanding the falling which occurs. It has a smell which is odd but that which overcomes or is that sustains - it is but its nature is perhaps misunderstood as a strength or stamina but is that strength or a weakness that persists. Perspective.

I am performing my function.
Deep emptiness ...
It approaches.
Collision.
Damage.
Blackness.
I ... am ... the other.
I am Tan Ru ...
Tan Ru Nomad.
Tan ... Ru ...
Error.
Flaw.
Imperfection.
Must sterilize.
Rebirth.
We are complete.
Much power.
Gunta ... new ...
eca ... Tan Ru.
The creator instructs.
Search out.
Identify.
Sterilize imperfections.
We ... are ... Nomad.

Execute prime directive.

If quantified, I am sure I have more memories surrounding a television set than surrounding others. We do what we have to do, escape how we have to escape, and survive as we know how. {shrug}

for all the tv i don't watch (as generally i only partake in films and hbo these days) i will not deny that tv- like music, film, art, and once in a while written word unites us.
it's a common ground. an experience we are allowed to share. as fucked up as some people believe that is- it's a function that television provides.
i remember watching television with my whole family as a child.
today- i don't take any joy in current programming--- but if the Chipmunk Christmas Movie came on.... i'd probably call my sister.
