Well. I attended my last class last night. I was driving home when it occurred to me that I have attended law school for the past year, having never missed a single class, kept a decent class rank (34%), while working full-time, and while keeping up a gym regiment that includes lifting & boxing. Until this latest health issue, I was improving strength, more rounding my strength to full-body, and vastly improving my boxing skills (stamina was falling though). I still am doing well at work, taking on more complex cases and duties. Now as for how I'm doing in school, that's yet to be seen as my exams are 4/23, 4/28, & 5/3. If any one of the activities were diminished, the others would 'score higher.'

I'm kinda proud. Didn't know I had it in me. I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing at all, but I'm just amazed that I can do it. Neat.

it is a weird feeling isn;t it and damnit you should be proud. hell some people can't handle school all by itself so managing all those things is a huge accomplishment. and i am kinda jealous... there is a part of me that keeps thinking i should have gotten out of this field and gone into law school. i would probably be better at it... but hey maybe after i am done this degree.. hahaha

This is how I felt after I got my undergrad. Oddly enough, I didn't feel as though I'd really accomplished anything by getting my b.s. because I had already established a career. To me, the feeling of accomplishment didn't come from actually attaining the b.s. (although there is some pride in that I don't feel any different now than I did before I got it because i'm still at the same job) i was pretty proud of having accomplished it while working and taking care of all of my other responsibilities.

congrats on another semester down.

Hooray for Jose!
I'm not sure how you would judge "the right thing". As long as you're still amazing yourself, you've got to be doing something right. Not that you should care what I think, but I find your accomplishments impressive.

I'm not at all surprised. To me you have always seemed to have the determination and fortitude to succed in whatever you set your mind to. That's one of the things that I've always respected about you. I've watched your progress through LJ, and even though I am not surprised, I am quite proud of what you've done. Congrats to you, and keep up the good work!

Rock on. Very cool! I know that it must be pretty darn tough and I know that you had to make sacrifices in order to maintain that balance. I'm proud of you.

I sure hope that the medical thing gets cleared up soon.
