Remember Bork's rants against tort abuse?
I'm ashamed of everyone on my f-list who is talking about Paris. Good god - get lives people. I am in that group of people that like to mock her and what her fame says about USia, but not to this degree. To the best of my knowledge, she doesn't actively hurt anybody. I've heard, but haven't verified, that jail time is not normal for a first-time dui - so rather than favorable treatment, she might be punished for how she is vilified in the public eye. Judges are elected, and justice on tv isn't blind (just stupid). However, I'm admittedly ignorant of the specifics so...get lives and shut up about the tabloid icons.
I'm getting better at this bar thing. I'm isolating areas I'm getting wrong, laws I don't know, but more importantly I'm getting used to catching the tricks and red herrings the bar bastards put on the test. I waste all this time debating race notice...when the deed wasn't delivered OOPS. The essays look like cake compared to the MBE, but I'm getting more confident I'll be ok on this exam. I also beware the Kaplan-esque nature of prep courses to make you less afraid and be more pep-talk than substance. Fear gets me working.
I've lost 6 lbs and 2% body fat according to the unreliable scale over 3 days: 139lbs 13% fat - meant to stop now, but I'm still being responsible (can't work out as much though, but I'm still eating smaller meals and little crap). I still carry all of that 13% around my belly, but at least now you can see my muss-kulls again.
This is pretty much all you get to hear for the next 6 weeks. It's all I get to do. Work, barprep, fall down.
