Good idea, bad idea
Since I'm not working or studying as I have an exam tonight, I thought it would be a good idea to hit Trader Joe's! Trader Joe's in the middle of a weekday with little traffic on the roads or on food - good idea!
Trader Joe's full of cane carriers, mommies, and babies. Lots of babies. Babies on backs, in arms, on tummy carriers (what 9 months wasn't enough of a burden?), in carts, running around, squealing, squawking, crying, laughing, consuming, excreting...bad idea.

Hmmm
(Anonymous) 2003-12-09 10:43 am (UTC)(link)I hope you snagged enough "good stuff" off the shelves to make up for the unpleasant experience.
I find that late in the afternoon or in the evening or right when they open in the best time to hit them. I can handle the folks sans kiddies better than those with kiddies. Unless, ofcourse, they are exceptional parents with exceptionally behaved, non-obnoxious, non-annoying, QUIET, stay out of my way spawn. ;)
Eh...at least it was at a grocery store and not at a bar/club or nice restaurant when you're actually trying to relax ;)
Good luck with the exam tonight! I hope that it goes well!

I hear the tinkling of martini [insert cocktail of choice] glasses in the near future.
