How did I get the flu in August?

I just woke from my medicine daze with the thought: Why is Jordan working so hard - by himself, rather than bringing his employees? It's a grand a week just on the top part...and he's working, but it's just him. That can't be how the basement happens. This makes me nervous but...yeah no change.

I missed the gym Tues and have no illusions about today's workout. I'm still sore for no reason, feverish with chills, and pretty exhausted - an hour or 2 of tv watching usually sends me to full-on-bed for a nap.

And to think - I requested the flu shot in the spring but was told it was too late. Had I done it, would I be sick now? Isn't it always flu season somewhere, and I fly a lot?

In a day or two I'll forget that I haven't been to the gym, and start down some giant angst spiral. It'll take me 1-3 days to realize the reason I'm sad is the lack of exercise, not a real reason. At the moment all my endorphins are from coughing.

"Too late?" No. It's never too late. Whoever told you that is an idiot. It's not like the influenza viruses go away the it's not "flu season." Start going someplace else.

That's not endorphins, it's oxygen deprivation ;)
