Happily after my meh workout yesterday, today does not appear sore. I can feel the tiniest twing of "I worked out yesterday" - curiously more in my back than my legs, but I'm thrilled that it seems that yes, I can do elliptical for some cardio benefits, and yes I can do minor leg press work.

If I can do this for a while I may cheat and extrapolate that I can do overhead press, as the top weight I do there was about 155. If I can leg press 180, isn't it reasonable to stand and press less? (understand leg press is not anything like a real lift, and the angled sled weight is not the same as ANY type of lift of the same weight free). I might yet get sore and have to go slow, and I can feel some "wah" in my hip joint, but still...there is a glimmer of hope here.

Cell phone stubborn! Last night Veronica and I watched a Fred Astaire (Frederick Austerlitz) B&W movie with a pile of retirees, and I found out my refusal to get a cell phone does not show I'm old - the group of 70+ were all quite happy with their cell phones. I guess what I am is stubborn.
PS turns out white people talk and use cell phones during movies too, either in DC, or when they're over 70, or both. Ghetto!
