I lived in NC for a while. I was older when I moved there, but I remember the General Lee from younger days, and never associated the Rebel Flag with racism either. Then again kids are naive. When I moved to NC the confederate flag was for redneck pride. Can one be a redneck and not a racist? Interesting question.
